後藤 真理（ごとう まり）| 鷹匠・漫画家
愛知県一宮市生まれ。名古屋芸術大学（絵画科日本画専攻）卒。一羽のハヤブサの死をきっかけに、自分の無知を知りその贖罪から猛禽類の生態を学びたいと、鷹匠（諏訪流放鷹術）の教えを乞う。以来約20年に渡り鷹と暮らし、訓練や狩りから学んだこと感じたことを漫画、SNSで発信している。現在は主に漫画の制作を通して猛禽類をはじめとした野生動物、環境保全の必要性や共生の在り方を広める活動をしている。著書に『鷹の師匠、狩りのお時間です!』（星海社COMICS）。
Mari Goto｜Falconer, Manga artist
Born in Ichinomiya, Aichi, Japan. She graduated from Nagoya University of Art majoring in Japanese Painting. Twenty years ago, she encountered a death of a ｆalcon. The death made her realize how ignorant and irresponsible she had been about its life, and she decided to become a disciple of a falconer (Suwa-ryu Falconry) to learn the ecology of raptors as atonement. Since then she has lived with many hawks, and sends out what she has felt and learned from their training and hunting through comics and SNS. Today she is promoting the ecology of wild animals including raptors and the necessity and ideal of environmental conservation for coexistence with them mainly through the production of manga. She is the author of “Master of the hawks, it’s time to hunt!” (Seikaisha COMICS)

オオタカと20年暮らし、その生態を肌で感じてきた後藤真理は、一般的にあまり知られることのない猛禽類の性格や習性などを漫画やSNSを通して伝えています。 彼女が大切にしているのは、それで猛禽類に親しんでもらうことではなく、彼らがいかに繊細で、扱いが難しいのかを知る、ということ。彼らとの共存の道を考え始めたとき、生物多様性や環境保全の必要性を自然に理解したと語ります。
Mari Goto has been living with eagles for more than twenty years, while experiencing their ecology very closely. She promotes their yet-to-be-known characteristics and habits through her comics and SNS. What she emphasizes most is not how to be friendly with birds of prey, but how delicate they are and how severe it is to live with them. She talks how naturally she came to realize imminent necessity of conservation of biodiversity and environment as she seeks ways of peaceful coexistence.
