Taking offは「離陸する」や「脱ぐ」など、「自分の意思で何かを剥がして移動させる」イメージのある言葉です。
10年後、20年後、100年後の明るい未来を想像してみてください。

To ignite and share the excitement of upcoming TEDxAnjo2020, an on-line event held on Nov. 29, we want to collect original senryu (comic haiku) inspired by TEDxAnjo2020 main theme!
The theme for TEDxAnjo2020 is “Taking off”.
“Taking off” means to leave the ground and begin to fly, or to remove or get rid of something. It’s an action to move somewhere while leaving something behind with one’s will.
Although today we are living in a very convenient world with super-high speed information exchanges, the gap between rich and poor has been widening more and more. Not only the society is unstable, but also the global environment is facing its critical moment. And we are experiencing COVID-19 pandemic which literally has changed the entire world.
But still we trust that we can change our future because we have freedom to choose diversity of values deliberately and to tackle many challenges.
Let’s imagine our bright future after 10 years, 20 years and 100 years later.
To where do you take off?
What do you keep with you, and what do you leave behind?
With whom do you go ahead?
Are you ready and excited?
And are you ready to create your original “Taking off” senryu now?
Your senryu can be:
*your commitment to the future
*appreciation or empowerment to someone
or
*just playful imagination!
Once you have one, please submit it from below
Then TEDxAnjo stuff will choose your senryu to make it into hand-written Japanese calligraphy and send it as a special gift to TEDxAnjo2020 participants on Nov. 29.
Your senryu can reach someone in somewhere in the world joining to TEDxAnjo2020!
※You can apply your senryu without participating to TEDxAnjo2020 on Nov. 29.
※Your senryu may be shared on TEDxAnjo official HP or SNS, too.
※If you participate on the event, you will receive someone’s senryu as a gift from TEDxAnjo.

In Japanese, it has to be in the rhythm of 5-7-5, 7-5-5 or 9-8, 8-9, in total of 17 sounds.
