原 昌宏（はら まさひろ）| QRコード®発明者
1957年、東京都生まれ。1980年に法政大学工学部電気電子工学科を卒業後、日本電装（現デンソー）にて新規事業の製品開発を始める。
最初はコンビニのレジなどで使用される小型バーコードスキャナ開発と光学文字認識装置(OCR)の開発であった。その10年の経験から、近い将来にくるであろう情報化時代に対応できる製品開発を自分の技術で何とかしたい、モノづくりの現場から社会を変えたいという思いで、1994年にQRコードの発明に至る。現在はQRコード読み取り装置の新たな用途開発にチャレンジしている。

Masahiro Hara｜ QR code® inventor
In 1957, born in Tokyo. He studied electrical and electronic engineering at Hosei University and started his carrier as an inventor at Nippon Denso (Currently DENSO CORPORATION).
For the first ten years there he was engaged in product development for new businesses, especially participated in the invention of a small barcode scanner which are often used at convenient store cashiers and other situations today and the optical character recognition devices (OCR). Gradually he became eager to invent something more convenient and suitable for the upcoming highly digitalized future using his technique and knowledge. Having strong passion to change the world as a proud engineer, he finally invented the QR code® in 1994. Right now he is challenging to develop new ways of applying QR code® readers for even better future. QR code is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE Incorporated.
